Decolonising Maths education remove Church ideology

A cocktail of practical value and religious propaganda can have obnoxious consequences. Post-colonisation, Maths teaching in India blindly apes Western practices — a pity because most of that school Maths actually originated in India. Europeans also imported it for its practical value. However, contrary to popular belief, the understanding of Maths is not universal. Indian ganita accepted empirical proofs. This differed from the European understanding of Maths as metaphysics. Hence, over centuries, the West adapted the imported Indian Maths to fit their metaphysics, which was linked to church theology. During colonisation, the West exported back this religiously coated mathematics, which is now taught globally.
"Maths was considered especially suited to arouse the eternal soul since it was believed that it contains eternal truths."
Maths was considered especially suited to arouse the eternal soul since it was believed that it contains eternal truths. The belief in eternal truths in turn led to the Western belief that Maths is “perfect.” It was further thought that this perfection could be achieved only through metaphysics and not empirically. Today, Maths is 100 per cent metaphysics.
Imperfect Maths

The belief that Maths is perfect is certainly not universal. Indian tradition accepted Maths as non-eternal and imperfect. Most practical applications of Maths today, such as sending a spacecraft to Mars, are done using computers which do Maths “imperfectly.”
Teaching Western metaphysics spreads other biases. All systems of Indian philosophy, without any exception, accept the pratyaksa, or empirically manifest, as the first means of proof. This also applies toganita. Science and engineering too prefer empirical proofs to metaphysics. So if Maths is done for its practical applications, it is better to accept empirical proofs in the subject. But present-day Maths teaches such proofs, hence all Indian philosophy, is “inferior.”
Does any of this make a difference to 2+2=4? Yes. Why is 2+2=4? Putting together two pairs of apples to show four apples is erroneous on formalism which disallows reference to the empirical. Formalism posits that 2+2=4 can be “rigorously” deduced only metaphysically from, say, Peano’s axioms. Most people don’t know how to do that or even what Peano’s axioms are. Thus, most Western educated never even properly learn 2+2=4. Since they are taught alongside that all other systems are inferior, they are compelled to rely blindly on Western authority for everything. This is by design. To put an end to this mental enslavement through indoctrination, education must be decolonised. The new government ought to focus on that.

Decolonising the Mind

Extract from a Decolonising the Mind by Kenyan writer  Ngugi Wa Thiong'O

How the British punished children for speaking in their own tongue in and around colonial schools as is happening in Indian Convent schools even today. How english was spread in the colonies.

Indian Education System and Gurulkul

Please read this comparing English from 1390 and so called Modern English

 Middle English: 1390
Of hem that writen ous tofore
The bokes duelle, and we therfore
Ben tawht of that was write tho:
Forthi good is that we also
In oure tyme among ous hiere
Do wryte of newe som matiere,
Essampled of these olde wyse
So that it myhte in such a wyse,
Whan we ben dede and elleswhere,
Beleve to the worldes eer
(Modern) English 1800
Of those who wrote before our lives
Their precious legacy survives;
From what was written then, we learn,
And so it’s well that we in turn,
In our allotted time on earth
Do write anew some things of worth,
Like those we from these sages cite,
So that such in like manner might,
When we have left this mortal sphere,
Remain for all the world to hear
  • Sanskrit language unchanged for 6000 years hence know as language of God who is unchanging and eternal
  • श्री   गुरुस्तोत्रम् - गुरुर्ब्रह्मा   गुरुर्विष्णुर्गुरुर्देवो   महेश्वरः
(I salute Sri Gurudeva, who is Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva and verily the Supreme Brahman.)
  • Kayena Vaca Manasendriyairva
    कायेन   वाचा   मनसेन्द्रियैर्वा
(Whatever actions I perform, by body, mind, senses or intellect, I offer all to the Guru.)
  • Om Namah Shivaye Gurave
    ॐ   नमः   शिवाय   गुरवे
(I salute Sri Gurudeva, who is the embodiment of Sat-Cit-Ananda, Who is the self-effulgent divine illumination without external support.)

English language it has no logical foundation (spelling grammer) it is followed on a whim, the Americans decided on their Independence to created their own improved version not based on logic.  We know sanskrit has not changed in 1000's of years has a logical foundation in all its aspects and was studied in the same manner as Math.  the current Indian Education system which has the same problems as the language, inherited from Empire. Schools were started by the Christian Victorian British and transplanted into their Indian Empire. They are an extension of Sunday school at Church, all children to sit in pews and listen to a lecture from the teacher (priest). GURUKUL system imparted values and knowledge (Gynan became to Know) to the MIND and should be encouraged. I a child of British empire cannot read write my own language Gujarati /Sanskrit and i want OUT ASAP.  As you see from above English will keep changing and is a difficult medium in which to make sence of the world. Indians are expected to learn two languages in order to gain a profession thus destroying thier culture and soul in the process.

Revisiting Macaulay's Dream and Gandhiji's Nightmare THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Macaulay's Dream and Gandhi's Nightmare has taken root in India of today. The following countries do not speak English and yet are ahead of India; China, Japan, Taiwan, Russia, Poland, Germany, Spain, Italy, France and Thailand in fact I know only of India where today its Mathru Bahasa is not promoted and only Indian people tell me "but it is an International Language". Chart of National Language and Wealth of Nations What language is needed to grow a crop or amass minerals and wealth? Ans. "Land" is required that which the Empire has left for US,Canada, Australia etc he who controls land has the power, so by mimicking owners of these lands you will only enslave you further to them.

"To give millions a knowledge of English is to enslave them. The foundation that Macaulay laid of education has enslaved us. I do not suggest that he has any such intention, but that his been the result. Is it not a sad commentary that we should have to speak of Home Rule in a foreign tongue And it is worthy of note that the systems which the Europeans have discarded are the systems in vogue among us. Their learned men continually make changes" MK Gandhi
Macaulay     "that English is better worth knowing than Sanskrit or Arabic; that the natives are desirous to be taught English, and are not desirous to be taught Sanskrit or Arabic; that neither as the languages of law, nor as the languages of religion, have the Sanskrit and Arabic any peculiar claim to our engagement; that it is possible to make natives of this country thoroughly good English scholars, and that to this end our efforts ought to be directed."
Macaulay’s comparison of Arabic and Sanskrit literature to what was available in English is forceful, colourful, and nowadays often quoted against him.
... I have never found one among them who could deny that a single shelf of a good European library was worth the whole native literature of India....... the superiority of the Europeans becomes absolutely immeasurable."
He returned to the comparison later:
Whoever knows [English] has ready access to all the vast intellectual wealth. The question now before us is simply whether, when it is in our power to teach this language(English), we shall teach languages(Sanskrit), by which, by universal confession, there are not books on any subject.
Mass education would be (in the fullness of time) by the class of Anglicised Indians the new policy should produce, and by the means of vernacular dialects:
..... "Indian in blood and colour, but English in taste, in opinions, in morals, and in intellect. To that class we may leave it to refine the vernacular dialects of the country, to enrich those dialects with terms of science borrowed from the Western nomenclature, and to render them by degrees fit vehicles for conveying knowledge to the great mass of the population".
Thailand a Model for  India to follow.

The international airport in Bangkok has a vast statue of Vishnu which is to the eternal shame of India, for this would be deemed illegal in India. The Thai's were never invaded and have kept their Hindu based customs, culture and language in their national affairs. They deeply revere their Royal family  King RAMA and their Monks  have VIP seats are set for them at all airports.

Not English

Note to my brother who wants to read Dickens

An education is a means to earn money today, the English speakers have it, so you  dropped your culture and language, to learn English in order to gain money.Today many Gujarati villages are emptying into the US, none will quote Dickens or Shakespeare for the move, only more money as the reason. My hope is once they have the money they will give something back to their motherland, as the Jews do.

We are the children of Empire not of our choosing. So Algerians are considered sophisticated only when they converse in French and have attended a Grande L'ecoles in France, to speak Arabic is considered not so good(the French will agree!). Speaking of French, one of the best things the French language produced is Airbus the plane maker, Gaelic pride made them create Airbus Industries, the whole project uses French as the primary language, so next time you board an Airbus remember it was built in French in France. Other countries who have avoided the colonial mind set, China Japan and Korea all successful economies where nobody speaks English except in diplomatic circles. I meet Chinese businessmen in Kolkata who brought a English translator with them to deal with the Indians!
What language do you need to speak in order to 1. Grow food  2. Dig oil or gold, both these are basic to wealth formation.
ANS. Any language as long as you have the LAND, the British Empire did just that, in the name of all sorts  to Christianise Colonise Civilise the Black peoples and heathens ( that's me) it acquired vast tracts of it.   RESULT.    Australia double size of India with population of Mumbai (that makes them rich but not right or clever) Canada, New Zealand, USA, South Africa  etc. and that is why we speak English for MONEY

The Europeans had Roman numerals which where superseded by the far superior Hindu Numerals, for me there is a same difference between English (Roman numbers) and Gujarati and Sanskrit ( Hindu numbers) ie it is a step back in the development of a human to speak English, let me give a simple example, its difficult if you do not have knowledge of Sanskrit, and that where I will lose most if not all English speakers, to make my point.

Concept of MAN originates from the Hindu pagan God MANU and is written about in the MANU sasthras where all concepts of MAN MINE MIND ME MANU are connected and defined. Since English has no logical foundation and has lost its Sanskrit roots the words  MAN and MIND are not considered related nor even the purpose of the word MAN known , apart from as a NAME for a male human.

NAME:   from Sanskrit root Na-mahama,  NA =NO, MAHMA= ME,   means "NOT-ME" only God, in English this true meaning is lost, a truly retrograde step. The list is endless

Point is only you can promote "your" language and culture nobody else will so now is the time to start learning GUJARATI SANSKRIT AND HINDI and not Dickens nor Shakespeare surprise yourself.

English vs Sanskrit

Below is an example of the early use of  English in the Bible, spelling of 500 hundred years ago has changes every 100 years, the Americans have their own spelling the language and grammar is not logical, nor logically thought out, it just happens. Today's English will look like this in another 200 years time but not Sanskrit.

This is the boke of the generacion of Iesus Christ the sonne of Dauid the sonne also  All the generacions from Abraham to David are fowretene generacios. And fro David vnto the captivite of Babylon are fowretene generacions. And from the captivite of Babylon vnto Christ are also fowrtene generacios. The byrthe of Iesus Christ was on thys wyse. When hys mother Mary was betrouthed to Ioseph before they came to dwell to gedder she was foude with chylde by ye holy goost. The Ioseph her husbande beinge a perfect ma and loth to make an ensample of hir was mynded to put her awaye secretely. Whill he thus thought behold ye angell of ye Lorde appered vnto him in a dreame saynge: Ioseph ye sonne of David feare not to take vnto ye Mary thy wyfe.
Sanskrit has not changed in 2500 years and can not change for it is a mathematical language, when Panini 2500 years ago codified it. Sanskrit as Maths where studied in the same logical manner AS ONE, an example of this is Patangil, author of Mahabashya, (a comentery on sanskrit grammer) and in  Chandaḥśāstra presents the first known description of a binary numeral system in connection with the systematic enumeration of meters with fixed patterns of short and long syllables. The discussion of the combinatorics of meter corresponds to the binomial theorem Halāyudha's commentary includes a presentation of the Pascal's triangle (called meruprastāra). Pingala's work also contains the Fibonacci number, called mātrāmeru, and now known as the Gopala–Hemachandra number.
